Unique Alphabet or PRIMS?
Compared feature by feature.

Both generate the CPSR from the formula, compile the PIF and warn of changes before they apply. The difference is in reach and in what surrounds the report: PRIMS adds the US, Canada and an API; Unique Alphabet adds the SDS, supplier links, controlled sharing and a tamper-evident record.

How we put this together

On 16 Oct 2026 we read each vendor’s public pages listed under Sources and saved a dated copy of each. A cell reports what those pages said on that date. It is not a test of the software, and “not found” does not mean the tool lacks the feature. Ask hello@uniquealphabet.com for copies of the pages we read.

Product names and trade marks of other companies belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products compared. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Which one suits whom.

  • PRIMS

For brands, manufacturers and consultants who sell in the EU, the UK, the US and Canada, want where-used reports and an API to their systems, and may hand the CPSR to The Regulatory Company’s assessors.

  • Unique Alphabet

For a brand or consultancy that keeps the file up to date after the report: supplier documents collected by link, the SDS and packaging record in the same file, the file shared by link, and annex changes matched to your formulas.

Questions about the two.

Does PRIMS cover the UK as well as the EU?

Yes. PRIMS’s pages name a regulatory database covering the EU, the UK, the US at federal and state level, and Canada, licensed per region. Unique Alphabet checks formulas and labels against the rules of the EU, the UK and Türkiye.

Who signs the CPSR in PRIMS?

PRIMS’s pages say you can generate your own safety reports, with your logo and digital signature, or have them issued by The Regulatory Company’s toxicologists and safety assessors. In Unique Alphabet, your assessor signs the draft; without one, the signature is a service in Türkiye, quoted per file.

Can I move my files from PRIMS?

PRIMS’s pages say a full PIF downloads in a few clicks. You can upload it into the PIF sections in Unique Alphabet and paste each formula from a spreadsheet. Formulas, raw-material records and toxicology data are not imported automatically.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some teams run the portfolio in one tool and keep each product’s file, supplier documents and shared links in another; the PIF sections accept any PDF.
