Unique Alphabet or kemXpro?
Compared feature by feature.

Both build the CPSR from the formula and assemble the PIF in its five sections. The difference is in what surrounds the report: kemXpro adds chemical compliance, with SDS in 40+ languages and a recipient-marked portal; Unique Alphabet adds supplier request links, expiring share links and a tamper-evident record.

What they have in common.

Both build the CPSR from the formula, with exposure, SED, NOAEL and the margin of safety, and assemble the PIF in its five sections. Both build the ingredient list for the label, work out allergens against the extended list, show the formulas a regulatory change affects and draft an SDS with transport data.

How we put this together

On 31 Oct 2026 we read each vendor’s public pages listed under Sources and saved a dated copy of each. A cell reports what those pages said on that date. It is not a test of the software, and “not found” does not mean the tool lacks the feature. Ask hello@uniquealphabet.com for copies of the pages we read.

Product names and trade marks of other companies belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products compared. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Which one suits whom.

  • kemXpro

For R&D, quality and regulatory teams that handle chemicals as well as cosmetics and want SDS, CLP and transport data next to the cosmetic PIF in one tool.

  • Unique Alphabet

For a brand or consultancy that keeps the file up to date after the report: supplier documents collected by link, the SDS and packaging record in the same file, the file shared by link, and annex changes matched to your formulas.

Questions about the two.

Does kemXpro cover the UK as well as the EU?

For cosmetics, kemXpro’s pages name Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and the CPNP; the UK and other markets appear for safety data sheets. Unique Alphabet checks formulas and labels against the rules of the EU, the UK and Türkiye.

Which one writes the SDS?

Both. kemXpro’s pages describe a 16-section SDS module with transport data, written for mixtures in general. Unique Alphabet’s SDS Authoring drafts the SDS for the finished product, in the same file as the CPSR.

Can I move my files from kemXpro?

The PIF sections in Unique Alphabet accept PDFs, so the files you already hold can be uploaded as they are; each formula is pasted from a spreadsheet. Formulas, raw-material records and toxicology data are not imported automatically.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some teams keep chemical SDS and raw-material data in one tool and each product’s file, supplier documents and shared links in another; the PIF sections accept any PDF.

Try it with a formula you already have.
