Unique Alphabet or Cosmoware?
Compared feature by feature.

Both draft the CPSR from the formula, with SED and the margin of safety, and keep raw-material documents. The difference is what surrounds the report: Cosmoware is a management system for cosmetic laboratories, with production, batches and quality control; Unique Alphabet adds supplier request links, expiring share links, an SDS and packaging record and a tamper-evident log.

How we put this together

On 31 Oct 2026 we read each vendor’s public pages listed under Sources and saved a dated copy of each. A cell reports what those pages said on that date. It is not a test of the software, and “not found” does not mean the tool lacks the feature. Ask hello@uniquealphabet.com for copies of the pages we read.

Product names and trade marks of other companies belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products compared. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Questions about the two.

Does Cosmoware cover the UK as well as the EU?

Cosmoware’s pages say its PIFs comply with EU, UK and USA markets, and name CPNP, NPIS (UK) and COSMETICDIRECT (US) reports. Unique Alphabet checks formulas and labels against the rules of the EU, the UK and Türkiye.

Does Cosmoware have a toxicology database?

Yes. Cosmoware’s pages describe NOAEL profiles of thousands of cosmetic ingredients with skin-absorption data, without giving a count. Unique Alphabet matches formulas to 35,000+ INCI in its ingredient database and keeps your own toxicology library, with the source recorded per entry.

Can I move my files from Cosmoware?

The PIF sections in Unique Alphabet accept PDFs, so the files you already hold can be uploaded as they are; each formula is pasted from a spreadsheet. Formulas, raw-material records and toxicology data are not imported automatically.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some teams keep production, batches and quality control in a management system and each product’s file, supplier documents and shared links in Unique Alphabet; the PIF sections accept any PDF.
